Even after a reported FBI raid on his Florida estate – heading into the midterm elections, with several candidates he supported winning their races.

Two Trump-backed candidates in particular took key state primaries, as called by The Associated Press

Tim Michels, a construction executive, won Wisconsin’s Republican gubernatorial primary and Leora Levy,  a relative unknown, won the GOP Senate primary in Connecticut.

If a far-right candidate’s triumph in Maryland weeks ago was considered a win for the former president in his proxy battle with the state’s moderate Republican Gov.

Larry Hogan, then Michels’ primary win in Wisconsin on Tuesday scored another proxy victory for Trump

This time, against his former vice president. Michels edged out former Lt. Gov.
